SARAS Aajeevika Mela is a vibrant celebration of India’s rural craftsmanship, women empowerment, and traditional art. Organized under the Ministry of Rural Development, this event brings together women self-help groups (SHGs) from across the country, giving them a powerful platform to showcase and sell their handmade products.
From handwoven fabrics, eco-friendly decor, and regional delicacies to stunning art forms—every stall narrates a story of culture, community, and creativity. It’s not just an exhibition; it’s a movement towards sustainable livelihoods and local entrepreneurship.
Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has organised 5 successful editions of Saras Aajeevika Mela in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 making it an annual feature at Noida Haat. Saras brings together over 450 Rural Craftswomen from over 30 States of India with a Mouth Watering India Food Court, Daily Cultural Performances and Celebrity Night. 2025 edition at Noida Haat recorded the highest sale in the 27 years history and over 75 editions of Saras Aajeevika Mela.
